This is the WMD Synchrodyne Expand, WMD have gone a little crazy with this one. But they figured if you can grasp the original, you're the kind of guy who always wants to go deeper.

The Synchrodyne can do a lot on its own, containing several modules in one that are pre-patched internally to create a vibrant range of sounds. It was difficult to remove many of the control capabilities from the Synchrodyne to keep it within the confines of an analogue switched capacitor filter module. The expand allows us to bring many of the fine nuances of the Synchrodyne into the patchable world.

It is designed to be powerful and extremely dynamic when minimally patched, but open and experimental when patchcords start flying around. You can also use many parts of the Synchrodyne and Expand separately in different parts of your patches. The open architecture allows it to do many jobs, even small ones.
