Noise Engineering is a California-based Eurorack brand started by Stephen McCaul and Kris Kaiser in 2016. Drawing from California’s rich history of “West Coast” synthesis, their designs represent an innovative, contemporary take on modular synthesis that draws both from the sound of analog and the precision of the digital. Noise Engineering’s range of modules includes oscillators, distortions, sequencers, effects, sequencers, and utility modules. The flagship Legio, Alia, and Versio modules are based on a unique firmware platform concept that allows the user to freely swap between up to 23 completely different firmwares with a single physical module, offering endless sonic exploration in a tactile and performable knob-per-function interface.
